December 4th’s Long Island Medium Theatre Event. A Night of Spirit!

December 5^th, 20 days until Christmas 2025, and I’m bundled up at my desk ready to write a new blog entry as I battle the winds-of-upcoming-winter!

I haven’t sat down to write a new blog entry in a while. The Muse hasn’t Inspired me to write anything other than my weekly newsletter…but Inspiration’s lightning bolt struck!

Last night, I went to see the Theresa Caputo show in Huntington, NY. My love, my dad’s fiancé, and myself all traveled an hour west to a village where I always find myself wondering why I don’t venture out more than the times I see a show at The Paramount. This venue is a 10 outta 10 place! Last night’s show was my 4^th Paramount show and I expect to go to more.

First snow fall of the season as we walk the streets to the theatre after my love and my dad’s fiancé grabbed a quick slice from a classic pizzeria. I must say…last night made me fall in love with Long Island all over again! Every season has Magic and I love winter!

Let me back up a bit. Around the time of my group mediumship reading at Harmony & Light Wellness in late October 2025, I was on a Long Island Medium marathon. It was a while since I did a group mediumship reading at a center so I was Inspired to watch Theresa work her magic. I’ve always been a fan of hers! I admit that she “taught” me how to read through the television when I decided to put my Practice into the world. How she says that everything that pops into her head is not of her. That wisdom keeps me going to this day!

I’m a supporter of anyone who takes the Sacred Intuitive Arts to the public stage. It takes a lot of Courage to embark on this journey as one faces the assault of the XYZ declaring the ABC and the 123. I…I struggle a lot with being public and I’d say a defense mechanism operates in my Psychic Wiring to keep me more in the shadows to protect myself. I’m working through it though!

Theresa’s work over the past 15 years brought more people to this work and opened more minds than ever before. I appreciate what she has done for this field and I admire how she continues to be herself. And let me tell you…you experience her personality and reading style in person when you go to one of her events. It really was the Theresa Caputo Experience! I loved it!

We all have our own reading styles. The basics of PSI Mechanics operates throughout every psychic and every medium’s work. However, the Artistry of a particular practitioner shines through as the reader reads. I’m not the Long Island Medium. I have my own Artistry so I really want people to understand that they aren’t booking a reading with Theresa when they schedule with me. They are scheduling with Jake James Vanek. There’s no point in comparing psychics and mediums to one another. I can’t stand the competition in this field and all that noise.

So! It was in November 2025 when I saw that Theresa was coming to Huntington in December. I really wanted to go and I was going to bring my love with me. However, I decided to approach my dad’s fiancé to see if she’d like to go. Well! She let me know that she already saw Theresa live while at her house in FL a few years ago! I had no idea! She was like “sign us up!”

December 4^th quickly approached and it was time to go to The Paramount!

I saw Theresa back in December 2019. I actually went by myself! I have no issues going to places by myself. I often would do that before I was in a relationship so I don’t mind if I’m nestled into a solo experience. The December 2019 show was enjoyable and I always had good things to say about Theresa.

We all lined up outside the theatre yesterday, checked in, and found our seats. I must say that the seats at the Paramount were so comfortable! Must more comfortable than the seats at Jones Beach, but I understand how Jones Beach is an outside theatre. Comfy and Cozy as we waited about 15 minutes for December 4^th’s show to begin.

She walked out on stage and delivered a fantastic opening speech. I appreciated how she discussed how it is important to understand that not everyone will receive a reading because that would be impossible. Spirit is doing the work and whoever receives a reading is meant to receive a reading. I emphasize this tremendously when I am in a group reading to the participants. You have to want to be in The Experience and that group’s magic will work even if you don’t receive a reading. I felt that magic of The Experience last night even as the three of us did not receive a direct reading.

The readings were poignant, powerful, evidential, and was of the Artistry that Theresa brings to her work. The 2 hour show caught our attention and I couldn’t believe it was over when she walked back on stage to close. Her 2 hour timeframe is just like mine! 2 hours of reading is incredibly draining so I learned that I max out at 2 hours.

She came to our aisle and I got to see her up close! The piercing blue eyes and the energy around her was a waterfall of Spirit. I saw the Spirits working with her throughout the show. Cascades of Energy. I enjoyed how she brought through comedy to help alleviate the audience members being read as they were often overcome by intense emotion.

My dad’s fiancé wasn’t directly read, but she and I felt like her mother was coming through Theresa during one person’s reading. It was as if it was directed right at her. The Blending of Spirits or the “piggy backing” as some say.

December 4^th was a great day to usher in the Holiday 2025 season. The energy of the room…the Spirits…the Love and the Connection and the True-True of Higher Mind SHINED all night.

It Inspired me to continue my individual path and to share my psychic and mediumistic skills. I don’t know what my path looks like. I don’t compare myself to others. I tell my Team of Light that I will walk through the Doors that they open for me as long as they follow my healthy boundaries of the environments that I will read in and will not read in (which they do and will continue to do so).

Theresa is a Force of Light in this world and a fantastic person to make the aspects of this field feel more approachable. I understand and I feel the reasons as to why she is so popular. You have to be built for that type of work on the public stage so I’m sure her astrology chart is plugged in with those points.

It was a wonderful night. I know what it is like to go to a group mediumship reading and wanting to receive a reading, but leave the night without being read. However, I know that any slight disappointment I felt was swept away with a blanket of connection, love, and Spirit as The Experience was enough to feel like my money was well spent.
