Tuesday morning, ten days before Halloween 2025, and I'm sippin' on some lemon water after returning home from the gym. My morning exercise is crucial for my overall wellbeing! My body shifts into autopilot while my mind enters the Day-Dream State. It is almost like I push a button to engage in auto-mode where my legs keep moving and my mind swims in an ocean.
I was inspired to write about the necessity to not neglect the Physical Body while pursuing a 'spiritual state' of existence. I exclaim often how I'm not a spiritual teacher because I think that title tends to come with too much baggage and to be spiritual....is to be human.
Our problems require Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Techniques for Solutions.
Sometimes...it is a Physical Solution that will help us navigate a challenge. Praying, Meditating, and Visualizing can indeed help us with our physical challenges...but those Spiritual Techniques are not the Driver. We are to engage in Physical Action while implementing those Spiritual Techniques. Praying, Meditating, and Visualizing may help our Physical Action by giving us a Turbo Boost! A Jump Start! But...sometimes our issues are caused by something we are doing or not doing within the realms of our Physical Existence.
No amount of praying and meditating will help our health if we continue to choose to engage in self-destructive habits that hinder our health.
No amount of praying and meditating will help our financial health if we continue to spend money on unnecessary wants.
My health journey and fat/weight loss journey involved my Physical Action that aligned with my Mental and Emotional States. I had to find the Intrinsic Motivation...to build up the necessary Mental Toughness and Emotional Fortitude to engage in Transformation. There was no amount of praying or meditating that was going to melt away my Obese State of Existence. None.
I think this boils down to Perception. What is your Perception about living a 'Spiritual Life'? If you absorbed the social media 'culture' of what it means to be 'spiritual' then you probably will continue to be in a state of less-than.
To me...being a spiritual person is to be Conscious and Aware of how my Choices influence everything around me. How I am in this Physical State of Existence journeying throughout this incarnation and that I am to be In-Body. To Follow Inspiration from Higher Mind, Act on the Breadcrumbs, and work with the Divine through every choice I choose to make.
Obviously...there are times when Too Much Physical-Focused-Action can hinder us. Sometimes we have to take a step back and embrace Spiritual Techniques.
It is about the Balance. How we are to Perceive our Existence through all of our Bodies: Physical, Mental, Emotional, & Spiritual.
Harmony and Coherence.
Maybe take some time today to examine your challenges and what techniques you use to help obtain solutions. Do you need more Physical Action? More Spiritual Techniques? More Healthy Self-Esteem? More ways to release Self-Destructive Thoughts?
