Readings’ Operations

I feel inspired to do a quick run through of how readings operate. Start To Finish from just before the reading begins and when everything is wrapped up. Simple and straight to the point!

I snapped a quick picture of me waiting on a Zoom call to provide my client with a reading today. I have all my windows open, a backup audio recording ready to capture my voice in case of Zoom glitches, and the document files set up to quickly organize and upload the files to Dropbox.
Readings at my desk aka Phone/Virtual Readings are my favorite. I always write about this, but it is true! I am a Cancer Sun and my home is everything to me especially with how easy and efficient it is to do Phone and Virtual Readings!
Phone/Virtual Readings are slightly different compared to In-Person Readings with somethings being obvious. I'll run through Phone/Virtual Readings first.
The ease of my booking calendar (Calendly) sets readings up so well! A client sees my schedule, my availability, chooses the duration/type/communication of the reading and everything is ready! If you choose Zoom then you automatically get a Zoom invitation sent to you. Phone/FaceTime readings don't have invitations, but clients put their phone number and then I call from my number or FaceTime from my email account.
I require phone numbers for Zoom readings in case of any technical difficulties. I use an ethernet chord so I usually do not have internet issues. However, if I have internet issues or my client does then we can easily switch to a Phone reading. If you think that I'm doing an internet search to gather information about you because I request your phone number...then do not even bother scheduling a reading. That shows you don't trust me enough and I'd rather not work with you. Hello, Healthy Boundaries!

About 30 minutes to 15 minutes before a reading, I set up my desk. I just reorganized my desk so I have much more room now. And yes, that is a Power Rangers Funko figure.
I create the Dropbox folder, my computer's document folder, and have the backup recording ready to use (I use Quicktime).
I do not do elaborate rituals before readings. I just pray and do some minor visualization techniques. Remember that PSYCHISM is Reflexive. It is just like you moving your fingers to type on a keyboard. You don't think about it...you just type.
For Psychic Readings, I do keep my tarot cards out, but I rarely flip any cards. I don't use tools in my readings except for my Mind Tool. Sometimes, very rarely, I'll flip a card. I just like to keep them out on my desk with my quartz crystal.
I have paper and a pen to write on, but sometimes I don't even touch that. Every reading is unique so some readings I'll write a bunch of notes before the reading or during the reading while in other readings I won't write anything down except for my client's name and the date.
I'll then enter the Zoom meeting 5 minutes before the time and test my audio/video. Phone/FaceTime, I'll just get the contact information up and then call at the appointment's time.
As stated in my Refund policy, I'll hold the meeting for up to 15 minutes. If I don't receive any information from my client about being late or what not then the reading is cancelled and there's no refund. After about 5 minutes into the appointment's time and my client hasn't joined the Zoom call then I'll call the client. If there's no answer and no call back after 15 minutes then the reading is counted as a no-show.
So! The reading starts, the client joined the meeting or answered my call, and we begin!
I'll make sure that the client can hear me and I begin recording. FaceTime and Phone readings only record my side of the conversation, but that's enough since it only really matters to record what I say.
After the greetings...it is time! I deliver my Opening Speech and then we are in the Reading. You can read The Experience page for the ins-and-outs of Readings along with my other blog entries and even the mediumship demonstrations.
The Duration of the Reading is over and that's that! I cannot extend readings further than what is scheduled so it is very important that my clients carefully choose the duration of a Reading which will suit their needs.
I'll then upload all of the recordings to the Dropbox folder while sending the audio off to the transcription service. Usually within the hour following the reading is when I email my clients the Dropbox link to download their readings' files.
Simple! Effective! So easy!
Now! In-Person Readings. I like to arrive 15 to 10 minutes before the appointment time. This way we can situate ourselves in a quiet, distraction-free area of the home for the 60, 75, or 90 minutes of the reading. I'll use my phone to record the reading (my clients can record as well) and then I start with my Opening Speech and we begin! After I return home, I'll send the recording off to the transcription service and send everything to my client in the Dropbox link. Like with Phone/Virtual Readings, I cannot exceed the time that was scheduled. I respect your time and you should also respect my time.
That's pretty much it. I don't do any elaborate rituals post-readings. This isn't some theatre production. I am hired to play the intuitive instrument and then I finish my work. I'll usually eat something or take a nap or what not. There's nothing spectacular or special about this work. It is a Trade, a Service, and a Skill.
