Spirits’ Communications Styles | PSI Mechanics

Sunday morning! I went to the gym, washed the dishes, made my morning smoothie, and created another doodle! My morning exercise inspired another blog entry which ties into a very recent reading that exemplifies this entry's meat and potatoes.
It always fascinates me, actually everything about this work is fascinating, when I provide my clients with a mediumship reading and how the Unique Nature of each Spirit interacts with my energy field! If you think about it...each Spirit that joins a session is a distinct, individual entity just like how each client is a distinct, individual entity who is housed in physicality. Hence the title of Individual. No two people on Earth and no two people in Energy Form are the same.
I reflect on the mediumship readings that I completed over the last few months and I observe the variety in communication styles. This is why I save all of my readings' recordings and the notes that I take! Documentation! I am my own best test subject!

I definitely did create an early blog entry that shares similarities with this entry written on 8/10/25. However, now I have even more experience and more documentation that just really hones in this topic.
No Copy & Paste: All Unique & Personality Expresses
This is one of the biggest misconceptions that people have when they go to a mediumship reading...that every spirit communicates the same and will deliver the same type of information. This misconception definitely can be tied to mediumship-television-shows which are severely edited and sensationalized (but mediumship-television-shows can be a great entry into this work).
I quickly learned early in my practice how mediumship does not command nor control the Spirits who join a reading. The Medium is at the mercy of the Spirits. The Medium tunes to a higher state of vibration and meets the Spirits who decide to link. No matter how much I may want a specific Spirit to tell me XYZ...my wishes are denied if Spirit does not want to provide XYZ information.
Think about if you receive a referral from a friend who had a wonderful experience with a medium. The friend describes, in this example, how Aunt Jane came through exquisitely. Aunt Jane provided names of her children, identified how she passed, shared her likes, gossiped about relatives, and the like. Aunt Jane was this type of person in life. She was expressive, had her nose in everyone's business, and was not shy to discuss herself with others.
So! You then reach out to this referred medium and hope to have the same exact experience. But...the reading does not turn out that way. You intend and desire to only hear from your father. Knowing your father, who in this example was a very private and shy man, you should expect him to not communicate like how Aunt Jane did through the medium to your friend. This reading, there was a distant cousin that came through who you didn't have a close relationship. There then was your maternal grandmother who left Earth when you were two years old. Then your father comes through, but the medium struggled to receive information. Your father did not share intimate, personal details about himself other than a few bits of information to accurately identify his energy. Your father slowly brought through information pertaining to current events and mentioned a few names/letters of people he was connected to while in physicality.
As you can see...these two readings are very different. And yet, they are both mediumship readings where the medium opened to Spirit and delivered exactly what she received. Why would the father in the example be so open and free like Aunt Jane when he was private and shy in life? The medium is a stranger to the father since he is a distinct, individual entity. If your father came through and provided information that he would've never told a stranger in real life...I'd say that should make you question especially if the information brought through the medium was too much like reading off a computer transcript. That'd be a warning. But! Spirits do evolve and may express their growth, but this growth wouldn't be a 180 shift from how you would know the spirit.
Understanding the basics of mediumship and PSI mechanics are very important to ensure you can get the best possible reading. Thankfully, I have structured my practice so that clients coming to me are aware of these basics and have an understanding of how I can provide them with a service. My clients have been wonderful! They are knowledgable and understand what I can do for them. They expect the unexpected and are familiar with the process so that they are not believing in the Copy & Paste.
You have to go into a mediumship reading understanding that your reading will be completely unique and separate from anyone else's reading. Even if you return for another mediumship reading, this will be different than your first reading. Check your expectations at the door, however, you can absolutely come to a reading with your intentions and hopes.
With my clients who had their loved ones come through a reading and the spirits were more private and shy, my clients were aware of this aspect of mediumship and they were not disappointed that they weren't given the "Aunt Jane Experience".
You really see the varying styles in communication during Group Mediumship Readings! My goodness! I explain to the group that you will not observe your loved ones "acting" the same through the reading. Groups are perfect to demonstrate the reality of this entry. I find that the first spirit to join a group will be either more active, more dominant, more voistorous. Then toward the end of the group usually the more quieter spirits appear or sometimes the last spirit will be the one who wanted to "close out the show". But you know, even with what I just said, this isn't always the case. Sometimes the most quiet spirit begins the group reading. Every reading is unique and so is every spirit.
Blending also happens during individual readings and group readings. This is when Spirits overlap one another. When two Spirits talk at the same time over one another. This can happen in groups when two similar spirits come together, but there are bits of informaiton that applies to one spirit/client and then information that applies to the other spirit/client. Even in individual readings this occurs! I find that it mostly occurs in individual readings when a very loud, rowdy family comes through and it almost mirrors what Sunday night dinner would've been. They eventually will sort themselves out, but they want to express their personalities.
There's also the fact that some links with spirits are not very strong. The medium has to really "reach" to strengthen the link. This could be due to the spirit not having learned to play the mediumistic instrument effectively. It could be due to the spirit still adjusting to the new energy form. I can theorize and theorize and theroize some more! I've had spirits come through who left Earth one week to one month before the reading and the spirits were excellent communicators. I've had spirits who left Earth also one week to one month before the reading and they were not well adapted to the session and they were so faint in their communication.
As you can see with the Spirit A, Spirit B, Spirit C, & Spirit D doodles...I wanted to show you a brief depiction of the varying communication styles. As always, I refer to Music as an excellent illustration.
Spirit A is lively! Expressive! Talks about this, talks about that. Comes through like a rocket ship!
Spirit B is much more subtle and quiet compared to Spirit A. Gives the medium one piece of information then a few more than takes a break then gives a little here and a little there.
Spirit C & Spirit D join the reading together at the same time and overlap. Spirit C is much more quiet compared to Spirit D. They also do have their own distinction in this example which leads me to another thing I wanted to mention.
Most Spirits are very distinct in my head. They are separated. However, there are times when I cannot distinguish who is talking when they come through together. They almost are like blended into a cloud formation or when in a concert there are two trumpets playing at the same time. Same sounding instrument, but there are two trumpet players playing their own instruments. This is why it is so important for clients to listen to me closely and sort through the information. But for most of the times, Spirits do make themselves separate in my head so I know who is talking. This "cloud formation/two trumpets" example doesn't occur very often.
As you can tell with this entry...mediumship is dynamic and the medium is completely at the mercy of the spirits. Each mediumistic reading is like its own song. Some songs may be similar, but there are still aspects which distinguish them to be their own piece of music. Some songs are ballads. Some songs are heavy metal. Some songs are bubbly pop. Some songs are techno. Some songs are jazz.
The variances in mediumship readings are of the real Craft. I go into a reading with a prayer and I expect the unexpected which is something I recommend my clients do as well.
