The Crescent Moon Tearoom, The Gift, & Synchronicity

It has been a while since my fingertips glided across my keyboard to type a blog entry. This entry is inspired by last Sunday's series of coinciding events.

I've been playing Final Fantasy 14 since Christmas 2024...and yesterday (Sunday) I felt the End of this game. I made it to the second to last expansion, but I just got bored. Same types of combat/enemies, the story is dragging on, and I can't bring myself to play this game anymore especially now that we are entering the warmer months. FF14 brought me through the Winter and now I'm ready for a new chapter.

So! With the Ending of my time playing FF14...I was inspired to take a trip out east to Barnes & Nobles. A newer location right across the parking lot from where Borders used to operate before they closed that chain (so sad about that!). I didn't have any idea as to what book I'd purchase, but I just felt that indescribable Call to adventure. The Call that I always listen to...a Breadcrumb.

This B&N is smaller than other locations and it doesn't even have a cafe! Back in 2014 to 2015, I used to be a barista at the B&N cafe in Lake Grove, NY right next to the Smithhaven Mall and I loved being a barista!

I was led through the aisles right to the Fantasy section. I expected to possibly purchase a biography, but I couldn't find that aisle. So! My eyes reviewed the shelves on the Fantasy section which led me to find "The Crescent Moon Tearoom".

I heard about this novel already during October 2024 when I was reading a bunch of Witch fantasy books, but I did not purchase the book. I grabbed it off the shelf and wandered around all the way to the checkout. Receipt and book in hand and I walked to my car to drive back home.

As soon as I got home, I read the first 20 pages of the book and I fell in love! I'm a sucker for a cute witch book and this book is all about Divination...Reading the Tea Leaves...Synchronicity Number 1.

A trio of sisters (triplets) who runs a Tearoom in Chicago where they provide Divination Services.

My love and I then decided to watch a movie called 'The Gift'. We've been on a Cate Blanchett kick ever since we saw 'Black Bag' last month. My love recommended we watched this movie because it is all about PSYCHISM. The real PSYCHISM and not the galaxy 69 starbeings, 5D Dimensional craze, nor all of that Fantasy Role Play bullshit that parades the internet.

Cate's character, Annie, reads from her home to serve her clientelle in Georgia. Her husband passed away so she supplements her income by reading clients. One of her clients has a husband who is abusive and the audience watches the husband torment Annie and even comes to her home. This is one of the many reasons as to why I do not read clients in-person from my home. I am not having that!

Annie finds herself involved in solving a homicide which just ties into Synchronicity Number 2. I volunteer my serives for detective-like work through an organization. It isn't pleasant work, but that is where I am led. Who wants to see those terrible images and feel those terrible sensations? The REAL Psychic Work is not Glamorous.

Annie isn't made of money and she accepts donations. I'm assuming that she doesn't charge that much for her services and this tied into my decision to raise my prices come June 2025. A Real Practitioner should charge an adequate fee that reflects his/her skills, wisdom, experiences, and knowledge. I am not about diminishing my work nor live a life of poverty just because I do "spiritual" work. No no no. I don't even find this work to be "spiritual" in a sense because that constitutes a whole list of that which is so so wrong with the presentation of PSYCHISM in this day and age.

I found it funny too how Annie was reading and received imagery pertaining to a fence and posts. It is funny because my reading on Saturday with a client involved me receiving images of posts and information about my clients' fence since I read a husband and wife.

The novel and the film was a reminder of why I do my work and share my skills. It reignited my passion for my work and my love for all things PSYCHISM.

I see myself in the trio of sisters and Cate's character. Someone who chooses to share these Psychic skills and to provide services. The TRUE PSYCHISM without all of the current NOISE destroying the Sacred Intuitive Arts.
