I am inspired to write about how the Reader’s State effects the Quality of a Reading. Remember that this work is like any other skill, trade, and profession which means that just like with any other job…the worker’s state of mind, emotions, and physicality influence the job performance.
I want to emphasize the importance of deleting misperceptions about this work which you absorbed throughout your life via all forms of media. I find that many people view this work through an extremely tainted lens which makes people think that any psychic and medium should perform at max capacity of ability like a comic book superhero. Also…the sensationalism through television-magic and click-bait snippets harm this work and limits the potential for people to receive the benefits of the Tool of a Reading.
I will keep repeating myself throughout my blog since we learn best through repetition! This work is just like any other job. This work is just like any other job. This work is just like any other job.
Knowing how your work performance is influenced based upon your state of being should clearly give you an understanding about psychic and mediumistic work. I don’t know about you…but I want the surgeon performing surgery on me to feel confident, be well-rested and calm, believe in himself, and to be free of distraction. Right? I want my hair stylist (when I had a full head of hair) to also feel confident, be well-rested and calm, believe in herself, and to be free of distraction.
The unrealistic expectations of this work continues to plague my existence, but thankfully I only attract clients who are aligned with the reality of these skills and who have their expectations and perceptions aligned with the reality of what I can provide them.

My doodle for this entry is pretty self explanatory. Column 1, 2, and 3 represent different, generalized states that a reader can be in during a reading.
Obviously, it isn’t your job to make a reader feel good. However, it is your Role in a Reading to support the energy connection by being open, respectful, engaging, and trusting.
I wrote about how if I am very uncomfortable, nervous, and uneasy during a reading then the quality of a reading is severely diminished.
I’m normally confident, calm, and ready to work. I love to do readings and to help people! However, there have been times in my work history where I was either in a very stressful environment, the client was an absolute jerk, I had too much on my mind from my personal life, or I was feeling like I could not live up to a client’s unrealistic expectations. Of course those readings were not up to my standards.
A Reader will do his/her best to be in an ideal reading state. We all have our own parameters, routines, and standards. I have rescheduled readings in the past when I was too involved in my personal issues and/or the events of the day were too draining and emotionally charged which would prevent me from providing a quality service. I don’t want to harm anyone! I recognize when I am not in an ideal state to read for a client.
Column 1 is my standard state to be in for a reading. I guess I could even merge Column 2 and 3 together, but I wanted to separate them for this illustration.
Column 1 is harmonious as depicted by my doodle. It’s a coherent state and the energy is flowing well.
Column 2 is disjointed, scattered, and not well.
Column 3 is a hazard, fractured, and stagnate.
Maybe this entry will give you an idea of how important it is for a reader to be at ease just like you when you’re doing your work. A reader will work toward building a strong self-esteem and increase his/her confidence. However, readers are extremely sensitive to the energetics involved in a reading and a client’s state of being greatly influences the quality of a reading as well.
This is why I don’t want to read everyone and I don’t want to be at the mercy of the internet. Oh lord. Opinions, unhealthy criticisms, ignorance, and so much more!
I want to read people who have a healthy synergy with me so I can deliver the best possible service.
