Sunday evening, dinner dishes are washed, and I am feeling the Muse once again today to write this entry which originally came to my Mind Tool at the end of July 2025 when I doodled this entry’s doodle. Side note, my love and I went to the movies today to see Weapons…and my oh my what a great movie! There was no PSI in the film, but I’ll reserve my detailings of this movie until it is available to stream.
The Sight. Clairvoyance. An Instrument housed within the Orchestra of Intuitive Instruments. A fascinating aspect of PSI and Life really taught me about the mechanics of this instrument…no book ever taught me more than my Direct Experience.
I have written many entries about this already and maybe I’ll write multiple entries for The Sight based upon this entry’s doodle. There’s so much!
I remember when I first sat down next to Judy at the psychic fair back in 2018. I was astonished at the “Literal Images” she was seeing. How she implemented her knowledge of her skills and The Sight’s mechanics into the readings she did that I observed. The back and forth between Past-Present-Future. How these “Literal Images” were of “Literal” things such as seeing a water heater, a layout of a house, a bulletproof vest, and so much more.
My skills were more of the “Symbolic Sight” when I started to open up to my abilities back in 2009. I saw mostly Animal Totems or Colors. Then it evolved into also seeing “Literal Images” especially after absorbing the knowledge from Judy via observation and an almost osmosis like function.
These two forms of The Sight are an aspect of both psychic and mediumistic skills. Remember that these two variations use the same Orchestra of Intuitive Instruments!

Oh man, where do I begin?!
I’ll start with Symbolic Sight.
Symbols are a means of decoding energy. They are almost like zip files that unzip and contain packets of information and energetic data. The symbols are of the psychic/medium’s frame of reference. It is what is seen by the practitioner to provide the description of an energy/experience/time period which would be the quickest and easiest meaning for the practitioner to interpret. Thought patterns that birth from and through the symbol that is unique to the practitioner.
Symbols can arise in situations where the practitioner is describing the energy of a person, place, thing, experience, time period, question, topic, and more!
Sometimes a practitioner sees a symbol and the practitioner believes he/she must interpret the symbol, but the client interrupts the interpretation to validate that the client knows what this means and there is no need for interpretation.
Symbols can appear in many ways! Animal Totems, Colors, or even just distinct images that the practitioner somehow knows that they are a symbol. As you will learn, the Intuitive Instruments do blend together so The Knowing can be a great aid to The Sight. Like in mediumship, Spirits will provide these more “pronounced” snippets of images that the medium knows are a way Spirit is trying to get a message or describe something. Like when I see a crumpled up paper and a podium…I know spirit is trying to reference either the client or someone else who wanted to say something at the Spirit’s burial services, but then decided not to do so.
The practitioner learns when to interpret or when to just state what is being shown. I learned that I must always share what I see and then interpret if I have to since I had clients tell me that I don’t need to interpret since they know what the symbol means in their life. It can get quite complicated!
Literal Images / Literal Sight.
Here is when the Timeless Vision aspect occurs and how Literal Images do not necessary come through with a Label.
Remember that there really is only NOW, but we obviously experience Time linearly. Literal Images are not bound by our linear experience. I may see a series of images and the client validates that this is something from the client’s childhood. I can see an image of something in my client’s current home which the client is unaware of until days, weeks, months, or years later.
Literal Images are of Hyper-Focused Clues. They are Snippets. Think about when you read a novel. You SEE fragments. Think about when you recall a dream. You SEE fragments. It will never be the entire landscape involving every small detail…just a series of snippets or film strips.
Literal Images are basically just things that are blatantly not symbolic such as looking at a white sedan car with a scratch on the bumper on the passenger’s side. There is no meaning in those snippets. It’s just an object.
These images are effective to confirm the subject/time/setting of whatever the practitioner is focusing on whether the practitioner feels a shift in topics or the client asks a question. There will be a series of snippets that come through the mind tool in quick succession which indicates they are connected. Let’s say I feel like a need to talk about work then I see a series of snippets. These finer details are meant to confirm my client’s experiences at the client’s current job or they are details from a previous job. You can read my other entries such as Questions and Topics in the PSI Mechanics series in the Education category.
Spirits use Literal Images regularly during mediumship. They strive to bring through as much evidence as they can during a session. They could show me images pertaining to them, my client, my client’s family, current events, and so much more!
Now with the Time aspect…sometimes I just have a Feeling or a Knowing of Time. I just feel the images are centered around the Past, Present, or Future. I may just Know where and when and how these images are connected within the reading and to my client and/or Spirit. I can feel a “tug” to my left indicating the Past or a “push” to my right indicating Future or a “hover” around the Present.
Now! Labels. This can be quite involved. My Direct Experience through my clients’ validations taught me how varying these Literal Images can be. I can see something and it’s actually a thought/idea my client has or was thinking. I could see images that relate to a conversation my client just had. I could see a series of images and it does not relate to my client’s life, but it applies to something my client knows that is going on with a friend or family member. I could even see something my client just saw while scrolling through social media.
The Labels are especially important during mediumship. How I think the image Spirit shows me applies to Spirit, but my client states that this is something going on in my client’s life now or with another family member.
You really have to keep an open mind, understand the basics of PSI Mechanics, and trust the practitioner to fully gain the most benefits out of the Tool of a reading.
Literal Sight also invokes numbers, dates, and months. Seeing the month of August surrounding a topic that is focused upon such as I am bringing through information about work and I see August and my client validates that he started to work at his current company in August. I could see a number and this be tied around a group of people at work to indicate the client is one of four at this job. I could see January from Spirit to indicate that was the month Spirit left the physical body or to indicate a loved one’s birthday.
I could literally write for HOURS on the many, many, many examples to explain The Sight in all of its creativity, nuance, and artistry.
I can’t forget about physical descriptions, biology, and the anatomy. I’ve seen organs within the human body which are causing issues. I have seen descriptions of my client’s spouse or boss. I have seen Spirit illustrating a person that Spirit wishes to reference. These all come in the Hyper-Focused-Clues.
I also want to mention how Literal Images vary in “length” or what is shown. Sometimes I just see 1 image. Sometimes I see 3 quick images, one after the other, to indicate they are to describe the same subject. It all depends on the specific reading and just how I receive the information through The Sight.
As you can tell, PSI is quite complex, but it is also simple after you grasp the foundations and basics. The Sight requires the practitioner and the client working together to string together the images, make sense of the images, and for the practitioner to interpret when necessary.
Dynamic and Fascinating!
