Why do people get a Mediumship Reading?

I woke up with the idea of this blog entry and the Muse followed me throughout my morning. Why do people get a Mediumship Reading? What is the point of it? Why pay someone for this service?

I find great value in receiving my own Mediumship Readings from other mediums. I request them so I can just feel, hear, see, smell, know a glimmer of my loved ones’ essences. My most recent Mediumship Reading was in the Fall of 2024. My aunt passed away and I wanted that connection with her. I know that I’ll always have a connection, but to have a medium bring through Evidence of her Consciousness somehow still in Existence is something special. To watch a medium interact with the energy and observe how the pieces of information funnel through her mind tool.

I just receive Comfort. I’m nestled into the experience of a Mediumship Reading and I trust the medium with providing me a service anchored in the most healing benefits of authentic PSI Skills.

I am very particular with who I go to receive psychic and mediumship readings which is something I recommend you do as well. I allow my loved ones to guide me to the right practitioner who can effectively synchronize with their energies. I don’t care about social media followings, YouTube views, reviews…none of that. I only listen to my loved ones’ guidance while paying attention to my Intuitive Instrument.

I’m quite easy to read since I am open and I am aware of the reality of what mediumistic skills are so my expectations and perceptions are aligned with the reality of what a medium can provide to me. I know the Craft and I know how to be an active participant in the reading. I also have strong discernment skills so I am keenly aware of which mediums are of the true Craft and which “mediums” are people I will avoid.

With all of my entries, I am informing you of this work. Why do people get Mediumship Readings?

1. To Realize their loved ones did not obliterate into nothingness.

   
   

I think this is one of the most prominent reasons why my clients schedule mediumship-focused readings. They want to know that their loved ones are still in some form of Existence. Obviously, a Mediumship Reading will not be the same as you sitting down with your loved one at the kitchen table chatting over a cup of coffee. It just isn’t. However, the intimate details that Spirit brings through are the Magic.

Clearly our loved ones who have left their physical bodies are not with us in the form our physical senses can perceive. That doesn’t mean that they cannot communicate nor that we can’t perceive them. They are in Energy Form. They can only engage with us through our Intuitive Instrument, but they will not communicate with us like they communicate to a medium. I do not engage with my loved ones in Spirit like I do when I provide a client with a Mediumship Reading which is why I go to other mediums.

Remember that our Intuitive Instrument is a Muscle. If you haven’t strengthened your PSI Skills then how would you expect to recognize your loved ones playing your Intuitive Instrument? My loved ones communicate with me very subtly and it involves just fragments of energetic data so it is not like the massive sensory experience that floods my psychic system like when I read for a client. You can always train your Intuitive Instrument/Muscle, but it does require a lot of effort and time just like when you train your physical muscles, learn a new musical instrument, and study a subject.

People receive mediumship readings because a developed, active medium has fine tuned her Intuitive Instrument to show you that your loved ones are still somewhere and in some form. That your loved ones are Alive in a form that my tiny little human mind cannot comprehend.

2. To Receive evidence that their loved ones are very much a part of their lives.

Spirit will always deliver information to a medium which involves experiences that occurred after they left their physical bodies. They may mention current events. They may mention conversations just spoken. They may mention things that happened a day or so prior to the reading. These are snippets of details that are in no way researchable on the internet. I don’t have social media nor do I research any of my clients. If anyone thinks I do that then there’s no point in scheduling a reading with me. You can easily spot a fake medium who did internet research because the “information received” will be like facts read off of an obituary or entire addresses of family members or physical descriptions down to the exact eye shape.

The Magic really happens when the client does not know what the medium is talking about. The unknown information shows that the medium is not using Telepathy. I learned that not everything Spirit shares will be validated during a reading by a client which is why Post-Reading Validations are a part of the experience. I continue to do this work because of my clients sharing with me validations that came about when they asked their family members to validate the unknown information. Especially in groups! One family member may have no idea what I’m talking about, but another group participants knows exactly what XYZ means.

Spirit may also share information that is in the form of predictions. They sometimes will share upcoming events and experiences that is not known to my client. Spirit sees the MACRO. They want to provide glimpses of the future and it really shows my clients and me that Spirit is a part of our lives regardless of what form they have taken.

3. To Relive happy memories.

Spirit wants to make their loved ones laugh, smile, and bring upon happy tears in a Mediumship Reading. They will share with the medium flashes of images and mini-movies or knowings or words that are regarding memories from yesteryear. Sharing funny stories. Sharing favorite vacations. Sharing embarrassing details to make a client blush. They show their personalities as you would know them while they were in physicality as well as to show you how they have grown while in Energy Form.

Clients come to a reading to feel that connection and what better way to do that then for Spirit to provide the medium with those loving memories from yesteryear…those intimate, specific details. To laugh out loud! To wipe away those happy tears as you recall some of your best memories!

Spirit can be very creative with how they send the energetic data to the medium!

4. To Mend old wounds.

People are in various stages of their grieving journey and not every relationship between a client and a Spirit may have been the best. Spirit also want to mend old wounds. They may want to share what they regret or feel guilty about so they can also heal. They want to show their loved ones on Earth that they have evolved and learned.

People have varying degrees of pain concerning their involvement with Spirit. Clients may feel guilty, shameful, awful, and the like and they want to apologize to Spirit. A Mediumship Reading helps to provide Closure so clients and Spirit can mend their old wounds and embrace the new journey before all of them.

5. To Find answers and to Follow curiosity.

Remember that the medium and your loved ones in Spirit are not enlightened nor are they omniscient. Any medium who claims they know all of the answers to the secrets of life is lying. Be aware of that and to know that just because your loved one is in Energy Form does not mean they know everything about the Cosmos and Existence.

People come for a Mediumship Reading in hopes to receive answers. To learn more about why their loved ones did what they did or to find closure to some confusing circumstances. Some people also want to know where XYZ item is hidden. Just remember that the medium can only share what she receives. So sometimes an exact answer may not come through or the answer may not be what you wanted to hear.

Curiousity. Some people are just curious about the process of a Mediumship Reading and they want to explore. They are interested in the experience and they want to integrate the reading into their own studies, philosophies, and journeys. Mediumship Readings are to provide people with an experience that will lead them on a new quest.

6. To Create a new memory with their loved ones.

I think this is one of the best explanations as to why people get Mediumship Readings. To create a new memory! Our loved ones have not ceased to exist. They are still Alive in ways that we cannot understand while we are anchored in our human forms. Having an experience with a medium, receiving and acknowledging validations during and after the reading, reliving happy memories, receiving evidence that they are a part of our everyday lives…all of this is a new memory that is formed even when our loved ones are not in physicality.

I think this is one of the best reasons as to why Group Mediumship Readings with friends and family are so impactful! Our loved ones on Earth and our loved ones in Spirit come together to create a new memory as the medium becomes the receiver and interpreter for Spirit. I love doing them!

The Bonds of Love we share with our loved ones in Spirit are Alive. They are never broken! We just all need to learn how to navigate life while our loved ones are surrounding us as they are in Energy Form.

People get Mediumship Readings for various reasons and these readings are to provide people with Evidence of Consciousness surviving after bodily death. Evidence that Spirit is vibrant, engaging, and on a new journey.
