Good morning, everyone!

It is Thursday yet again. The Eve of Valentine’s Day as some say. I always enjoyed Valentine’s Day even when I was single. I’d treat myself to some ravioli and vodka sauce while I was in college. And now, in a relationship, I still enjoy the holiday, but I’m not tethered to just celebrating love on the 14th of February. I can get quite…not annoying, but I do catch myself with how many “I love you”s that I say throughout the day.

May this Valentine’s Day just be a day about you celebrating yourself. You’re still here despite all of the trials and challenges you’ve experienced. It is tough walking this Earth-Realm and all I can say is that you are still breathing and that you aren’t abandoned by the Divine. It can be difficult to perceive the Divine as we are encased in physicality. The ineffable nature of Divinity. But! It is just those subtle moments when the Breadcrumbs that pop into your mind tool interact with the positive synchronicities when you just take a step back and reflect on the mystery.

This week! I think I’m going to pull a tarot card (cue shuffling of my deck).

VI of Pentacles.

I like this card! Right off the bat, we have Service to others and Charity. Paying it forward. Helping others even when we can’t find ways to help ourselves. The Power in assisting others even in just those small moments of holding the door for someone as you walk into 7-11 for a cup of joe.

What comes to mind as I gaze at this card…that there is someone out there who has it worse than you and worse than me.

Almost a…reality check and maybe this could be an effective strategy to help you when you’re stuck in a wheel of beating yourself up.

Do you have food on the table? Do you have a roof over your head? Do you walk this Earth with manageable issues when others are really struggling to even find a way to diminish their full-body-physical-pain?

I also feel a strong impression for us to see what we could do in 2025 to help our fellow man. An activity that requires our presence rather than just donating money to a charity. This makes me think about a local soup kitchen in my area. Every week they cook dinner for those who cannot afford to feed themselves or their family every night of the week. Volunteers that find value in donating their time and energy to help their fellow man.

Is there one day in 2025 that you can take time to volunteer at an organization? I’m sure many of you are animal lovers which makes me feel like there could be an animal organization that is just waiting for your help on one day in 2025.

What do you think? Is it too much of a cliché in stating that helping others helps yourself? I do find that some clichés are grounded in a basic truth. I continue to do my psychic work because of the potential that it has to help someone. Granted, this work is experimental and a little mysterious. Various factors influencing the quality of a reading. But! I tell myself that I helped XYZ person so I have the potential to help this new XYZ person. This is also why I do have some free events on my website and discounted offerings in forms of my psychic fairs because I acknowledge that some people may not be able to afford my normal fees so having these free group mediumship readings anchors in the possibilities of attracting those who could benefit from a mediumship reading without spending the money that they need to feed their families.

I do enjoy donating my time! Actually, this year, I had someone reach out to me saying that she was the winner of a reading. I forgot that I even said I’d donate my services for the organization’s raffle so when I read the email I thought it was a scam until I went back into my emails and found what this person was writing to me about. The reading went well and it felt good to just donate my time and skills without receiving any monetary compensation.

Another thing that comes to mind as I gaze at the VI of Pentacles…is when we are in need of help. Being vulnerable enough to express our need for help and then finding the courage to embark on the journey to receive the help. It is not humiliating to ask for help. I told you that last year I went to therapy for a couple of months and that profoundly helped me! I realized that I just needed someone else to help me walk my Earth journey and I accepted that I couldn’t do it on my own.

I think the underlying thread of this card is that us Humans are all connected and that there are many great people out in the world who are doing great charitable work without wanting the need for public attention. Worker Bees for the Divine. I think I’ll try to find an organization for me to volunteer at sometime this week.

As for me! I decided to only offer 1 hour readings again. 60 minutes is the best time for me to help a client and I think only 2 people in 2024 scheduled readings that were not 60 minutes.

I have the events listed on my website so you can always check that out which include the free group mediumship readings, the donation readings to the local soup kitchen, and my Spring Psychic Fair.

I hope you all have a lovely week!

Sincerely,

Jake
