I feel like Higher Mind is bringing me through a new series of entries to write about Energy Hygiene as evident by my recent experiences! I'm going to write about a tool that I used last night (and at other times) involving visualization and Fire.
Let me be clear...these Energy Hygiene practices are deeply personal and I do not have years of research, statistics, and all that which some crave to consider any sort of validity. I just have my own experiences. Also! My way can inspire you to create your own way since this type of "work" is of our own Creative Energies.
So! I'll give you the experience that I had last night which inspired this entry.
I had an awful nightmare. The type of nightmare when you feel your in-real-life physical body shake and you even hear your in-real-life voice groan and exclaim "help me!". Absolutely terrible and thankfully my love woke me up!
The type of nightmare where you cannot go back to bed right away otherwise you'll resume the terrifying experience!
Lying in bed, I remembered a visualization practice I would regularly do which was to imagine FIRE. I've used this practice when I felt like I had some negative-type of attachments bound to my energy field and this did provide me with relief.
Here's what I do and you can adopt this as you see fit.
I begin by conjuring Fire in my mind's eye. The orange, yellow, and red tones. I'll usually begin by "painting" the fire at my feet and work my way up my body. Really striving to illuminate the colors and appearance of the fire so it has a maximum charge and potency. Now! With the imaging...you need the feeling.
I'll imagine the warmth of the fire. I'll add this feeling to the colors and vibrancy of the fire as it works its way up my body. I'll also bring the fire into each of my chakras until I find myself at the Crown Chakra - the top of my head.
I observed that at the moment I reach the top of my head...I see smoke leaving my energy field just like the smoke from a campfire.
Now! You don't need to do this practice only when you find yourself waking up from a nightmare. You can do this when you are immersed in difficult thought-emotion patterns. When you want to focus your mind tool in a meditative like practice. This is a Tool and a Focus of your Consciousness.
Like I said earlier...this is a personal experience. See if it works for you and do remember that everyone is at varying levels of visualization skills. Start off small. If you can only mentally conjure a spark in your mind's eye then just focus on that! No need to beat yourself up or try to do more than you can at this moment.
You could also stare at fire like in your fireplace or on a candle's wick. I'd gaze at physical fire rather than a computer image of fire to really get the element's essence.
You may even find yourself enjoying this practice and then see how you can incorporate other elements in your visualization toolkit!
