Events

What a gorgeous day it is today in May! I’m inspired to discuss Events briefly - my thoughts on them and the types I like to do.

I have a history of attending psychic fairs and doing restaurant readings on Long Island at the start of my practice. I wrote about my opinions regarding these types of events in previous entries. In the beginning…they were okay until they became something I really strive to avoid. I no longer read at these events.

I do see benefits of psychic fairs which are not a part of a long list of positives. I turned the few positives into an event that I do pretty regularly. Once a season, I like to host my own virtual psychic fairs. I’m the only reader and it is all online or on the phone.

My virtual psychic fairs are something I’m very comfortable doing and I enjoy them! A whole day available for 30 minute readings at a discounted price. These are great for new clients to see if they like me and my services. These are also great for previous clients who may not have the funds at that moment to schedule a normal reading.

I have everything organized! Spreadsheets with all the information necessary to contact each participant. The readings are on the hour during a specific time frame. I have 30 minutes in-between each reading so I can start the transcripts, save the files, send the files, and have the time in case there are any technical issues.

I love my fairs mostly because I am in control and clients who sign up are coming for me to read them. They mostly have an idea on how I may help them and what my readings are like. I primarily operate my practice on a referral basis so usually all of my clients know someone that I read.

I’m in my own environment which is key! I am not around many tables and all the people talking which makes it so difficult to focus on readings.

My virtual fairs have been going on for a few years now and I do intend to continue doing them. Once a season: Fall, Winter, Spring, & Summer.

I used to do group mediumship readings at a center on Long Island. Unfortunately, this center did close in 2025 and I wish the owner all of the best! I only agreed to do group readings there because I felt like the owner aligned with my values and integrity plus she is a great person.

I do not desire to do group mediumship readings in large settings. It is very popular for mediums to do groups at restaurants or fire houses. I keep my groups small and intimate…a maximum of 10 people per group. I just don’t have a desire to do these types of events and also I have a very strict No Alcohol Policy.

I will not read around people consuming alcohol. Plain and simple.

In the beginning of my practice, I was contacted to do events where mediums would shuffle groups of people and other workings which did not appeal to me.

I am not for entertainment.

Sometimes I do free virtual group mediumship readings! They are 1 hour, limited to 10 people, and are on Zoom. I enjoy them and it feels lovely to donate my time and skills!

At this moment, I can’t foresee really any other types of events that I’ll do other than my virtual fairs and virtual group readings. I am open to ideas or requests, but they have to align with my values, integrity, and criteria.

Overall, events are something I enjoy doing, but I really need to have a very clear understanding of how they operate, who is running the event, the environment in which I’ll be reading, and to ensure that the event is not anchored in a lot of what I find unappealing regarding the “psychic industry”.
