Group Mediumship Readings: Thoughts & More Explanation

The Friday that initiates Memorial Day Weekend and yet...I'm under two blankets because it is so cold on Long Island. Nonetheless! I'm sitting here as the muse comes closer to me while I listen to one of my favorite background songs.
I keep having memories from Group Mediumship Readings swirl around my mind's eye so I guess this entry will be about them!
I created a video about them which is on the Group Mediumship Readings page. I discontinued my YouTube channel so the ones that I still find value in are unlisted from the public page, but scattered throughout my website.
Group Mediumship Readings are really fun! Despite the anxious moments leading up to the group, I find much enjoyment out of doing this service for people. I recall many whispers from Higher Mind requesting that I begin to offer them, but it took me a year or two until I actually felt confident enough to stand in front of a bunch of strangers and literally just tell them everything that pops into my head.
Group Mediumship Readings are like public speaking on steroids! No plan. I have no information about anyone other than the host's name and possibly the address if it is in-person. I have no backup. It just...it is Spirit. I'm a very shy person so I really needed the experience of doing readings to understand the PSI Mechanics and then the nurturing and building of my self-esteem so I am equipped to stand in front of a bunch of people and be willing to look like an ass.
Groups are all about connecting the participants to their loved ones in that which my tiny little human mind has a hard time comprehending. To provide the participants glimmers of their loved ones' essences. To also honor the Spirits and work for them as I share the information that they give me. I'm hired by the party and I'm hired by those who are encased in some sort of energy form.
It is a big responsibility! To ensure that I do not judge nor interfere with the information. To be willing to have some participants look at me like I have 10 heads when I deliver information that cannot be validated - information that is either forgotten or research is needed or the information has yet to take form in the present-day.
It is imperative that the correct link is established as in that the group correctly identifies the spirit coming through and to which participant(s) the spirit is for. There are some similarities between spirits, but there will be key identifiers which will clearly depict an accurate portrayal of the spirit's identity. This is why I like to bring in 5 to 10 identifiers/statements when I first dial 1-800-SPIRIT, write them down on my white board (or paper for virtual groups), and then ask the group who can take the majority of the information. Like 7 out of 10 statements that is understood. Sometimes I may interpret something wrong, but the other pieces of information will outweigh my misinterpretation.
With mediumship, there is always a chance that more than one spirit is coming in at the same time. This happens for a multitude of reasons. I find that spirits with similar characteristics may come in together and then provide pieces of information that the group is able to use to separate the identities. Sometimes one spirit may not really know how to play the mediumistic instrument so other more adapted spirits may help the less-adept spirit to use me effectively.
I keep my groups small. I'm not interested in large events. A maximum of 10 people. It is just something I prefer and I personally do not enjoy attending large group readings full of many people. Not my thing and that's okay! I want my participants to have the best outcome of receiving a reading along with sharing in the experience with people that are closer together compared to large gallery readings.
You know...I really do struggle with the disappointments that inevitably happens when a guest really wants one specific spirit to come through and the spirit doesn't. Unfortunately, I do not control which spirits join nor what information they provide to me. My job would be a lot easier if I had that control and actually if I had any control. I'm only able to speak what I am given. It sucks when that disappointment strikes, but it happens. Not all of the time, but it does. This is why I provide as much information as possible on my website so people are well informed about the process of any reading and what to expect from me and what to not expect from me. Informed Consent on all levels!
Every participant has their "Star Person" they want to join. However, sometimes an unexpected spirit joins the group first or maybe a few of them. Sometimes participants are so focused on their "Star Person" that their memory is wiped to all other spirits who could join. I get it. You want XYZ to come through so badly. But there's always a reason why every spirit joins despite some of them being those you were not expecting to join.
When a spirit comes through and the participants are unable to identify the spirit then I will always provide as much detail as I am given. I've had spirits come through in groups when I was so explicit with detail and no one acknowledged the identity. But! As minutes pass...something clicks! The "ah-ha" moment! The identity makes complete sense.
I had one reading when I had a spirit come through with all the detail and no one claimed the group. Then...at the end of the reading...one participant came up to me and said that she knew exactly who the spirit was, but she did not want to claim the spirit because she felt guilty that another spirit joined the group from her.
I had a group one time when I provided all the information from the spirit and no one claimed the spirit. Then one of the participants realized that it sounded similar to a father in spirit who belonged to the participant who was unable to attend the group. She texted the person and..sure enough..it was the other person's father.
Groups are dynamic! Every single group is so different! Every participant is unique and every spirit joining is unique. I never know what to expect other than the fact that my energy system and mind tool will be bombarded with an orchestration of impressions.
There are zero differences between in-person groups and virtual groups. I mean it! There are none! It is the same thing. Virtual groups benefit those who are in different locations than me outside of the distance I'm willing to travel. They're great for groups with participants from various parts of the country. Everyone receives a video and audio recording of the group and the process is so easy. I really think people have a hard time believing me when I say that virtual and phone readings are of the same quality compared to in-person. I know what I'm doing and my Direct Experience with my work is what makes me certain that I do know what I'm talking about.
I recommend scheduling a group with people who wish to connect to the same spirit(s). This is perfect because I may provide information from spirit and there's one person in the group who knows what is being shared then reminds the others of the XYZ. Now! You can absolutely have other guests who do not have connections to the same loved ones who are in energy form. You get to experience this with those you love and witness them receive validations that their loved ones in spirit are still very much alive while in energy form.
You know...I'm absolute not compromising my No Alcohol Policy. I'm just not and I don't care if my No Alcohol Policy turns people off from scheduling a group mediumship reading with me. I am not entertainment and I do not want to be around people consuming alcohol as I work. It is a hard no and I will absolutely leave the group if the participants are consuming alcohol before I get there and/or when I'm there. Take your money back, I don't want it. Hello, Healthy Boundaries!
Groups are great for the moments when I leave. When my job is done, I pack my car, and I'm headed home. Everyone then can share their thoughts and what not. This is when they can drink - after I'm done and headed home.
Unfortunately, I'm no longer reading at a center that is on Long Island. I wrote about this in my Events blog entry. The center closed in 2025, but I'll be forever grateful for my time at this beautiful space. I have all the recordings and transcripts from the readings. Memories that will stay with me forever even if I have a hard time recalling many of the specifics since I really find it difficult to remember majority of readings. I am open to being invited to work at other centers, but it'll have to be the perfect fit. The center's owner and the space have to align with me and my energy.
Overall, Group Mediumship Readings are such a treat! I'm absolutely drained after them which is why I block out my calendar after groups. People need to schedule them in advance so I can structure my calendar to support the energy required for the group and the recover time after the group.
An experience to share with everyone who are still on Earth and those who are in that which my tiny little human mind has a hard time comprehending.
